Guerin & Boutron
Guérin-Boutron Chocolates control all stages, from the bean to the consumer and is dedicated to the principle of “Bean-to-Bar”.
It is in Brussels, world capital of chocolate that this prestigious Parisian Chocolate maker has come back to life.
Guérin-Boutron Chocolates intends to accompany the Ivorian cocoa producers in the production of the highestquality cocoa bean thereby creating a network of suppliers dedicated to organic and fair-trade chocolate.
Our aim is to contribute to the development of the cocoa sector in Africa by placing human rights at the centre of our economic action.
Although our objective is to extend our initiative to Ghana, Togo, Cameroon, Congo, Sao Tome, Haiti, Madagascar, we have chosen to begin development of our humanitarian action in the Ivory Coast, the world’s leading cocoa producer.
Our project undertakes to honour the grower, because his know-howensures the good quality of cocoa.
We work with local partners in order to develop the ‘Made in the Ivory Coast’ and to promote the quality of cocoa that reveals the extraordinary, wonderful and surprising flavours.
The Ivory Coast has a low consumption of chocolate products as they remain a luxury item for locals.
Our ambition is to ‘democratise’ consumption in order to enable each and every Ivorian, whether he be a city dweller or a country dweller to enjoy the quality chocolate products the country exports.
Guérin-Boutron wants to upgrade and promote the cocoa bean in Africa through the development of the quality approach: fair remuneration and training of producers, development of healthy organic beans.
