Guérin-Boutron Chocolates is a French company foundedin Paris in 1775.
The plants for the manufacture of chocolate were situated at 23 and 25 Rue du Maroc in the 19th arrondissement in Paris.
In 1910, the factory employed around 280 workers.
In Paris the company had two retail shops: one at29, Boulevard Poissonnière in 9th arrondissement and another at 28, Rue Saint-Sulpice in the 6th arrondissement.
The brand was known for its chocolate flavoured with vanilla and chocolate Solubia.
Before other chocolate makers, Guérin-Boutron chocolate bars were packaged with chromolithographic pictures of historical figures or themes representative of the popular imagination. For the sake of loyalty, these images were published in small series.They, thereby, have become collector’s items
